Here at your funeral, attendees of mixed failures
Alone, beside yourself, your wake a sad digression

Tears pour down from the faces to your own
Weeping now at your own funeral
All the lovely diseases of childhood
Hidden away like a grain of sand

Since the dawn of time man has been diseased
No point of reference, nor frame of health
Only light years of deferred progress

How radiant we dance and feverishly cling to life
As we grapple with god, disease, science, and anxiety
Here we are laughing at the madman, as we don’t understand
Here we are the madmen, laughing as we don’t understand

Tears pour down from the faces to your own
Weeping now at you own funeral
All the lovely diseases of childhood
Hidden away like a grain of sand

The great Sun of mystery is setting a forecast of darkness
Accompanied by a mass – nervous – laughter
Withering at the roots you cant even squeeze a thin spray of hope,
for this glorious collapse has you gnawing blindly
Frantically , faltering, groping for expression
A divine stuttering, an incongruent anomaly
This death is a lie – a false aberration
Each step in life opening a greater horizon to which there is no escape

A world full of dreamers- whose dreams cant escape the mind
To imagine a new world – death must step in first
Constantly killing and recreating with each step
Insufficient, you spit on the past a claim the future

I'm a big fan of The Faceless middle two albums and when I saw Lyle Cooper was on this album I knew I needed to check it out. A relentless, inextinguishable tsunami of brutality!! Plus, i absolutely love those vocals!!! And also the fact that the production isn't overly compressed makes for a rather enjoyable listening. The only flaw I see here is that the vocals, although they are an absolute pleasure, are way too prominent in the mix. Basically, I can't hear the guitarwork whenever the vocalist is on. Snyjxr
